Allah mentions the cucumber in the Quran and in my book that makes cucumber special.

Some people love cucumber and some people hate, me I’m some where in between because I have to eat it to cool down my hot humour.

But i know one thing that makes sometimes boring times interesting vegetables delicious is salad dressing.

Serving in food in nice dishes also pleases the eyes. The taste buds are stimulated by sight and smell, not just taste.
