Next Monday insha’allah , a few of us are going to start a 3 day juice fast, not only do we want to shed a few stubborn pounds but we also want to de-tox our bodies and get more important phyto-nutrients from fruits and veggies in out mystery before winter kicks in.

Its best to give yourself some time to think about what you are going to do, get ready prepare, as all the best life coaches say, he who fails to plan, plans to fail, so lets go.
Like any kind of fast, its best to give up stimulants like tea coffee and fizzy drinks at least 3 days before you intend to fast, otherwise you get some serious withdrawal symptoms like headaches.
Red bush tea is a wonderful healthy alternative to regular chai Indian black tea
Dandelion coffee is a healthy alternative to regular coffee but it is a diuretic which means that you will wee more.
Use up your bread and don’t buy any more till fast in the mean time eat rice if you have it.
Dont start fast till you use up all perishables in fridge
From this point onwards start your day with a home made juice start.if you haven’t made juice before and have a jug blender, blend washed peeled and chopped pineapple, berries(can be frozen) and water.
1/2 a fresh pineapple
1 cup of berries;strawberries, raspberries,fresh or frozen, green bit cut off and put in compost recycling
500 ml water
BLEND and drink.
