As the impending thought of living for 5 days, on no more than a pound a day is drawing closer, its time to plot and plan. As the great masters tell us, “if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail”.
I have been approached by the Global Poverty Project, via MADE In Europe, to donate recipes for this challenge and to sign up to it, my health being alright, I plan to do it , inshallah God willing.
When you think that over 1.6 billion people in the developing world, the third world (I wonder what is the second world if this is the first one?) live on one pound a day for food.
Living on this meager amount means no choice, as a nutritionist I can tell you that you can survive on this limited amount , but should any champagne drinking, caviar eating, politician or banker, think this is decent way to live, then I curse them or better still, I challenge them to live on one pound a day for five days and then come and talk to me about Food Wars and dumping food to keep the prices high, after they complete the challenge.
Enough ranting for now, I need to get on with some preparation, planning and foraging in the urban snippets of earth to create some recipes and fotos to inspire you inshallah.
