Pining for the country side, Urbanites don wellies and boots, trolleys and hessian sacks in tow and head off to the farmer markets.

There to be had, are fresh British produce; seasonal fruits and veg, currently apples, asparagus, carrots, rhubarb and radish, beetroots and potatoes and loads more. Then there are homemade and farm shop produce like English honey, cheese and delicious cakes. Being the health freak I am, all I could do was look and take fotos and imagine the taste.

The people are by and large country folk, friendly folks, I have to give a big shout out to Colum who was working on the fruit and veg and took my fotos.

Apart from the good value for money it’s a real opportunity once again to get out and met the locals. There’ s usually some stall that that does coffee, teas etc. You can buy olive bread or a pasty or like me take your own Wheat Free Jammie Dodger.
