Pineapple, Kiwi  And Cucumber Smoothie,

Pineapple, cucumber &kiwi juice

1 pineapple, 3 kiwis and 1 cucumber

makes about 750ml

wash all fruit and vegetable and take skin off pineapple, cut kiwi and cucumber long ways , makes it easier to get in juicer, cut pineapple into circular slices, then cut the slices into long 3cm wide strip, easy to get in the  juicer machine.

Juice all and stir, drink on an empty stomach for maximum health benefits, if your teeth are a bit fragile use a straw to avoid acid corrosion. Drink every morning during the pollen season normally later February to June and take vitamin c  1000mg tablets prolonged release 1 a day.

Pineapple is high in vitamin C and vitamin C is an antihistamine, which is what you need to fight pollen allergies.

 It’s great for arthritis and boosting your immune system. This fruit is high in a natural enzyme called bromelain , this is the key to this fruit’s health benefits .Bromelain is a protein digesting compound .

Bromelain is anti-inflammatory, effective at reducing swelling, so if you are suffering from hay fever at the moment, with swollen sinuses and sore throat, pineapple will help treat your condition but on an empty stomach, if you have it with food the bromelain will assist in the breakdown of protein in the food. It’s also good for arthritis and gout. High in vitamin C, inshallah will protect you against free radicals that attack healthy cells.

 Kiwis  have more vitamin C in them than oranges, more potassium and less calories than bananas and are a good source of beta carotene ,good for your immune system, your eyes, respiration and anti oxidants.

cucumbers are mentioned is Islamic medicine. the  cucumber is known as QITHTHA

From the Sunnah, narrated by Abd’ Allah bin Jaffar, it is related that the messenger of Allah salah ala alaihi wa salem used tom eat cucumber (qiththa) with dates(rutab) Tirmidhi At’ima – 37.

They are cold in the first degree and dry in the second. In Islamic medicine known to cool heat in the stomach, so good for ulcers.

 They are anti-oxidant and anti inflammatory. Cucumbers are now known to contain lariciresinol, pinoresinol, and secoisolariciresinol–three lignans that have a strong history of research in connection with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease as well as several cancer types, including breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers.
