EUCALYPTUS OIL …MY MUST HAVES
As salaam alaikum in shaa Allah you’re well and blessed with steadfast eman.
Inspired by my mother, whose a qualified aroma therapist, I’m formally studying aromatherapy too.
This is one of my “must have oils”-
Many of us in the western world are familiar with Vicks vapour rub, as children , rubbed over our back and chest when we got a cough but the main natural ingredient is eucalyptus oil.
Personally at Karimah’s Cuisina we prefer to keep things as simple, natural and as pure as possible
The human skin is the biggest organ of the body, as such we need to take care of what we put on it.
DISCLAIMER …all aromatherapy essential oils are powerful because they are the essence of the plant; flower, wood, leaves, fruit.
AROMATHERAPY is intended to compliment pharmaceutical medicine.
Individual oils may negatively interact with pharmaceutical medication, so consult your doctor before using if you are on any pharmaceutical medicine.
Generally all aromatherapy essential oils should be diluted with the exception of lavender and tea which can be used neat in various situations and diluted.
Eucalyptus oil is a powerful oil and should not be applied directly to the skin, unless by experienced therapist. Using it undiluted can cause severe irritation. To dilute an essential oil, as essence good general rules is to add 12 drops of the essential oil to 1 fluid ounce of carrier oil like almond, apricot kernel, or avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil…
EUCALYPTUS ORGINS AND HISTORY
Eucalyptus oil’s healing power, by the grace of Allah, is extracted from the oval shaped leaves of the plant.
The eucalyptus plant is native to Australia and used traditionally by the native Aborigine people and the warmer areas of Europe and has a long history in India 🇮🇳, it is said originally planted by Tippu Sultan in 1790, Allahu allum. (God knows best).
