Last night I watched “I Daniel Blake” and was moved, moved into action.

We Karimahs Cuisina insha’allah will start donating sanitary and hygiene products to local food banks as well as  individuals bags of spice mixes.

There are people living particularly in housing estates that are the Hidden Hungry and mainly in the UK , they are not Muslims. Not because Muslims get any extra benefits however our Arab and Asian cultures teach us how to live on rice and lentil curry when we cant afford meat, we would rather eat lentils than pork, we don’t drink alcohol or smoke drugs we get on the floor, on our prayers mats and bow our heads down and cry instead.

Still that said and done our neighbours ,have rights over us.

it is not Islamic for us  knowing that in our communities, even though we live ina nice house and they live a mile away in an estate or housing project, that behind close d doors there are single parents who don’t know how to manage money, they don’t know how to cook healthy and cheap, they don’t know how to access the benefits they are entitled to.

There are women …and men who think prostitution is better than stealing…it is really sad and  its like a can of worms if you scratch below the surface.

Buy and collect sanitary and hygiene products and give to food banks

Buy and collect spice mixes and donate to food banks and/or community centres

World change starts with a random act of kindness

Neighbours are not just your next doors neighbours bur knowing them and being good to them is a great start. its about our community our common  unity

Here are some Islamic religious sayings regarding treatment of neighbours

The Messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him) says:” He is not a believer who eats his fill whilst his neighbour beside him goes hungry” (Bukhari).

The Messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him), said: “Jibril kept recommending me to treat my neighbour well until I thought that he would tell me to make him one of my heirs” (Bukhari: 6014).

Abu Dharr, May Allah be pleased with him, reported: The Messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him), commanded me thus, “O Abu Dharr! Whenever you prepare a broth, put plenty of water in it, and give some of it to your neighbours” (Sahih Muslim).
