PERCEPTION
by Karimah bint Dawoud
What good I tell you is from Allah and what is bad or wrong is from myself, please make 70 excuses for this sister.
“I gave you eyes ,ears and hearts, what little thanks do you give”
As I read this words from the quran, the guilt clanged through my heart and from that day onward I have thanked the Creator at least once a day for this tools of perception.I was blessed a few years ago to read a letter from the decease Sheikh Albani , raheemu Allah who also said that he had been thanking Allah regularly for these attributes of firasa/perception.
There is a warning though, when we inshallah begin to see more and hear more and feel more, we do not always see, hear and feel what we like and this is where your feet must stand firm in faith with Allah the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the seen and the unseen and all that exists in between
