“Healer Heal Thy Thyself”

“Prevention is better than Cure!”


The daily flu shot is a  Green Juice; celery, kiwi, cucumber, ginger and echinechea tincture

Per person you will need

1/2 cucumber

3 kiwi fruits

3 sticks of celery

a small finger size piece of ginger

10-30 drop echinechea tincture

wash and cut in half fruits and veg, place in juice including ginger

place in glass ,add echinechea drop , stir and drink slowly if possible

Let’s break it down

CELERY is a crunchy long stalk vegetable with a crispy distinctive flavour.It can be used in juices, salad and soups.

High in vitamin C, to promote the  immune system, good for eyes, prevents free radicals so good for inflammatory diseases like rheumatism, osteoarthritis and asthma. Free radicals also oxidise cholesterol  which causes plaques in the arteries leading to stroke and  heart attacks, so this vitamin c and fibre in celery is also good for prevention of heart related diseases……its green. The fibre binds and removed toxins from the body.

As well as vitamin C, it also contains 39% of our daily vitamin K needs, celery is an excellent source vitamin K which is good for controlling  blood clotting and blood lost during injury .Vitamin K also assists in the absorption of calcium.

CELERY- (karafs)

Rich in vitamin C that supports the immune system,over 20 scientifica stuides have concluded that celery is a cold fighter.

There is a haddith, though not authentic but still mentioned by Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah in Medicine of the Prophet, the haddith says that the Messenger of Allah, salah al alahi wa salem said” whoever eats karafs and sleeps upon it, sleeps with good breathe and is safe from the pain of molars and toothache”.

The truth is that the garden variety of celery does sweetness the breathe and if the stems are wound around the neck it is beneficial for toothache…hmmmm interesting.

KIWI is a super fruit, high in vitamin C, boost the immune system , also a good anti-histamine (helps when you have allergies including hay fever) a great anti-oxidant, good for your skins, eyes, heart. High in potassium which is good for the stomach. These emerald nutrients contain carotenoids and flavonoids protect the cell DNA from oxygen damage.


As cool as a cucumber, cucumber is cool and moist and for this reason great for cooling inflammatory conditions like ulcers and infections, they’re anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer. These alkali vegetables prevent the over production of nitric acid ion the body, nitric acid increases access inflammation. Cucumber is mentions in  the Quran and in Islamic medicine

From the Sunnah, narrated by Abd’ Allah bin Jaffar, it is related that the messenger of Allah salah ala alaihi wa salem used tom eat cucumber (qiththa) with dates(rutab) Tirmidhi At’ima – 37

Ginger- Zanjibeel

Its fights against inflammation of organs and in the muscle and joints.You know sometimes you have a cold and your body aches, have a nice ginger and honey tea. It and promotes heat in the body which may causes sweating which help in de toxifying the body while you    cold and the swear itself protect the body against infection, I am not saying go round being smelly and sweaty but a little sweat  from a clean body 

Echinechea is a herbal remedy that comes from the flowers of the asterracae. It is a traditional Native American Indian remedy that is good for many thing but is commonly known as a “immune stimualtor”.although in the past there has been controversy over its effectiveness to prevent cold, at last it has been confirmed the the Lancet “Echinacea decreased the odds of developing the common cold by 58%!” DO NOT GIVE ECHINECHEA TO CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD AS A PREACAUTION

With so many health benefits that are hard to ignore, why bombard your poor stomach with coffee first thing in the morning, you can always have it after brunch .

    Are there any types of Juicers you would recommend in particular? I think I’d like one that could juice whole fruit.

        Yes, like a whole oranges, carrots or apples. Do you use a juicer to create the drinks (like the one above)? In sha Allah, I want to try to be healthier and consume good things.
