Many moons ago I had a friend, a wonderful photographer called James D Hipkiss who used to travel a lot of Sri Lanka and one year he brought cook book back. Even then I was foodie, so I took it upon myself to learn cook some new recipes and including this one , full of popping mustard seeds and haldi.
Things have progressed a bit since then and local community garden, Meanwhile Gardens gave us some organic produce last week including parsnips, so I thought we would add them along with some sweet potato, neither in the original recipe but all the better for the addition.For my sister in law, Cat, I have only just pulled this one out of the cobwebs of my mind when you were asking me about potato recipe this one was far away xxx
