Inspired by a recent iftar with fellow Team Cuisina sistar ,who made us baked salmon for iftar. I asked what was the marinade and she told me ; soya sauce honey and a little tomato purée, it sounded like sweet and sour vibe from the 80’s.

It was very nice mashallah, still lets take it up a notch and bring it into the eclectic 21st century
marinade, you are going to have to use your discretion with this one
- soya sauce
- honey
- tomato purée
- lemon grass powder
- ginger powder
- sea salt
- black pepper

Mix them all together , spread over meat and fish, massage in and leave in cool place less than 10 degrees C or in fridge till needed.

You can oven bake, grill , griddle or even BBQ!
Salmon cooks very quickly, about 5 minutes each side, inshallah I’ll be having mine with a little rice and stir fried lettuce and carrots
Delicious! I tried this at a sushi restaurant in Santa Monica this Summer. I can still taste the soya/honey flavor with the grilled salmon! 😉
